Seit Tagen ist alles grau und kalt und nass. Kaum zu glauben, dass wir vor wenigen Wochen noch im Laub spielen konnten, ohne fürchten zu müssen, am Boden festzufrieren. Wo soll das noch hinführen?

So! Wir starten nun richtig in die Herbstwoche – neulich war das Wetter dermaßen gut, dass niemand noch einen Grund hervorbringen konnte, warum er besser drinnen blieb. Und so kam‘s, dass Mara, Talek, Shari, Moira, Maleka, Tamaa, Makoye, Zhuri, Kavu, Niara, Mneka, Swede, Chee und sogar ich uns zu einer nahegelegenen Ahornbaumgruppe aufmachten. Denn hier lag überall trockenes, wunderbar raschelndes Laub.Gebt es zu, ihr wärt jetzt auch gern im Laubhaufen.🇬🇧Now we’re starting the autumn special! Recently the weather was so good that no one could come up with a reason why it would be better to stay indoors. Der Herbst ist da. Anfangs nur zaghaft, zieht er nun mit Gewalt durch die Baumwipfel und färbt alles bunt, das der Wind streift. Da ist kaum noch ein Blatt, das neben dem gewöhnlichen Grün nicht noch eine weitere Farbe hat. Überall liegen Blätter, mancherorts sind es ganze Laubhaufen, jeder Schritt knistert, und weil all das einen ganz besonderen Reiz hat, beginnen wir die Woche mit einem kleinen Herbst-Special – lauter Posts mit Laub und Sonne und Liebe.Den Anfang macht unsere supersüße Swede, die da in einer knallroten Kletterpflanze hockt.PS: Die Captions fallen etwas sparsamer aus als üblich, da unser Mensch meint, krank zu sein. Hat er sich ja toll ausgedacht. Erst Herbst-Special anzetteln und dann krank sein - merkst'e selber.🇬🇧Autumn has come. Herbstzeit ist Kürbiszeit – was liegt da näher, als der hiesigen Kürbis-Vernissage einen Besuch abzustatten? Nichts! Drum machten wir uns auf, die Kürbisse zu bewundern auf der großen Kürbiswiese. Gerade lag ich auf der Couch, eingerollt in eine Decke; plötzlich kam Swede herbei, wild winkend, munter parlierend, wie sie eben durch die Bilder unserer letztjährigen Abenteuer blätterte. Dabei stolperte sie über die über die Fliegenpilze, die wir an einer Birke fanden. Im selben Augenblick fragte sie sich, ob die Pilze auch in diesem Jahr dort stehen würden.Das war eine gute Frage, die nur eine Antwort fand, wenn wir nachsahen. Also quälte ich mich aus der Decke, ließ Swede auf meinen Rücken klettern; gemeinsam ritten wir auf der Schnellstraße ins Tal, zu jenem Ort, an dem die Birke steht. Und tatsächlich standen dort auch Fliegenpilze. Beinahe konnten wir sie nicht entdecken, weil trockenes Gras darüberlag. Aber da sind sie, obwohl niemand sagen konnte, ob’s dieselben waren. Denn sie redeten nicht mit uns.🇬🇧I was just lying on the couch, curled up in a blanket, suddenly Swede came over, waving wildly, chatting cheerfully as she was flicking through the pictures of our last year's adventures. While doing so, she stumbled across the toadstools that we found besides a birch tree. At the same moment she wondered if the mushrooms would be there again this year.That was a good question that only got an answer if we examine. So I struggled out of the blanket, let Swede climb onto my back; together we rode down the expressway into the valley to the place where the birch tree stands. And actually there were toadstools there too. We almost couldn't see them because dry grass lay over them. But here they were, although no one could say whether they were the same.
