Die Frage, ob wir den Möbelwagen beauftragen könnten, ward mit lautem Lachen erwidert. Ohne Putz und ohne Heizung und ohne sanitäre Einrichtungen, so die Kernaussage, würde Wohnen einermaßen beschwerlich, von den vielen Rohren und Kabeln auf dem Boden ganz abgesehen. Wir sollten in fünf Monaten noch einmal fragen.
Das klingt doch gut! Ich habe zwar keine Ahnung, wie lang fünf Monate sind, aber lang kann es ja nicht mehr sein. Ich frage einfach morgen noch einmal nach, ob die fünf Monate vorüber sind.

While the cubbies were at the big water with Tia, Niara and I wanted to see how far the house construction had progressed and whether we could move in next week. And that's what we did.
The question of whether we could hire a moving van was met with loud laughter. Without plaster and without heating and without sanitary facilities, one of the guys said, living would be quite difficult, not to mention the many pipes and cables on the floor. We should ask again in five months.
That sounds good! I have no idea how long five months is, but it can't be that much, can it. I'll just ask again tomorrow whether the five months are over.
