Was tut man, wenn die Mädchen in der Tür stehen und hundertmal hintereinander fragen, „ob wir heute an den See fahren“? Genau, man gibt nach. Denn die Mädchen würden auch noch hundertmal fragen, und das so lange, bis sie die „richtige“ Antwort bekämen.
Also fuhren wir an den See.
Die Mädchen fanden diese Idee „sooo toll“, dass sie geraden Wegs ins Kinderzimmer verschwanden und die Schwimmtiere herauskramten.
Nach einigen, endlos lang erscheinenden Minuten des Fahrens und des Fragens, „wann wir denn endlich da wären“, waren wir tatsächlich da, eilten zum Strand und- nein, wir konnten noch nicht auf’s Wasser. Erst einmal mussten die Schwimmtiere aufgepustet werden.
Als kleine Wiedergutmachung für all das Insistieren, mussten die Mädchen das allein ins Werk setzen.

The girls liked this "greeeat" idea. They went straight to the children's room and dug out the swimming animals.
After a few seemingly endless minutes of driving and asking “when will we be there”, we actually arrived, rushed to the beach and- no, no, no we couldn't get on the water yet. First of all, the floaties had to be inflated.
As a small compensation for all the insistence, the girls had to do it all by themselves.
