🇩🇪 Und da ist es zurück, das trübe Elend – in vier Wochen gab es genau einen Tag mit Sonne, und kaum ist der vorüber, kommt das Grau wieder. Dabei will ich doch nur ein wenig Sonne. Mein Fell ist schon ganz bleich und meine Gedanken sind so trüb wie die Nebel über den Wäldern, verschleiert, eintönig.

Lockdown ist wie eine Welt ohne Farben.

Tia kam mit mir.Dazu müsst ihr wissen, ich wollte gerade zur Tür hinaus, da eilte sie mir nach und fragte, ob sie mich begleiten könne. Niemals zuvor hätte sie Schnee an den Pfoten gefühlt, sagte sie, und das wollte sie nun tun. Umsorgend, wie ein Männchen in Anbetracht der zarten Weiblichkeit ist, da erklärte ich ihr, dass am Schnee gar nichts Schönes zu finden sei. Das mag euch besonders langweilig oder ideenlos vorkommen, jedoch gibt es keine andere Möglichkeit, um jedem Streuner zu sagen, dass dieser Felsen mir gehört. Finaaaally the Super Bowl has come back to Taampaaa.This is what The Rock would say, and he'd damn right - finally the time has come for #Superbowl. We had to wait for that to come so long. Now we're super excited. After two weeks without a game - no Playoffs, no real Pro Bowl, not even a college game, nothing but some good ole football movies on TV - it's time for the football highlight of the year.At the beginning of the season, who would have thought that we would have a (punctual) Super Bowl? Despite initial problems and partial postponements of games, it ultimately went better than anyone could have expected. And two hundred hours of football in front of the TV in the regular and post season later, after a lot of fumbled balls in the end zone, after a few safties, after successful onside kicks, after some bad sacks and even greater catches and missed field goals and many converted 4th downs we are here:Bucs vs. Chiefs.Can the game top last year's game? Hard to say, but with Mahomes and Brady and Gronk and Kelce and Hill and AB all the ingredients are there to conjure up something spicy out of it. Let's pray for an exciting game, for a spectacular game with lots of touchdowns, just as many sacks, with fumbles and interceptions, but also great passes on both sides. 🇩🇪 Ich verließ den traurigen Felsen, und hielt es für besser, dem Feldweg zu folgen, hin zu dem Holzverschlag, der in Sommertagen manchem Schaf als Behausung diente – mein Ziel war der nahegelegene Baum. Vielleicht munterte mich das Klettern auf.Mancher Mensch wird sich nun wundern – Geparde mögen das Klettern? Ich weiß, viele Bücher sagen, Geparde seien furchtbar schlechte Kletterer und vielleicht stimmt das auch. Vielleicht ist es aber auch ganz falsch, denn wir Geparde lesen die Bücher nicht, die über uns geschrieben werden.Also kletterte ich den Baum hinauf und sah in die Ferne. Da machten sich die Kinder solche Mühe, damit Niara und ich ein wenig Zeit für uns haben würden und dann...Allein das wunderbare Frühstück – das ganze Haus roch nach Zimt und Kaffee, und als wir saßen und aßen, bestanden die Kinder darauf, dass wir nach dem Frühstück nach Draußen gehen. Nur Niara und ich, sagten sie. Wir sollten fortbleiben, solange wir es draußen aushielten und sollten uns so viel Zeit nehmen, wie wir für uns bräuchten.Das war so lieb von den beiden, doch Niara – sie gab es nur zögerlich zu – hatte an diesem Morgen furchtbares Bauchweh. Sie konnte kaum einen Schritt gehen, sagte sie. Ich solle allein gehen und nicht wegen ihr auf den Ausflug verzichten. Niara bestand darauf, und Swede und Mneka auch.Aber warum fragten sie nicht, was ich wollte? Was sollte ich allein in den Wäldern und Feldern, wenn meine Gedanken doch nur bei Niara und den Kleinen sind? Da sitze ich nun, allein auf dem Felsen.🇬🇧 What a pity. 🇩🇪 Wir flohen also vor den Schwänen, versteckten uns im Schilfgras und als wir die größte Gefahr vorüber glaubten, schlichen wir weiter zu einer hochgelegenen Bank. Von dort aus beobachteten wir die Umgebung, hoffend, Schwäne kämen nicht bis hier hinauf. Zum Glück blieben die Schwäne weg.🇬🇧 So we fled from the swans, hid in the reeds and when we thought the danger was over, we crept on to a high bench. Up there we observed the area, swans could not climb all the way up, too. 🇩🇪 Nachdem wir auf der Sonnenuhr die meiste Zeit verbrachten, liefen wir noch einmal an die Steinstufen, wo wir neulich eine Begegnung mit den Schwänen hatten, denn es konnte doch nicht sein, dass wir uns von Federtieren ängstigen lassen. Soweit kommt es noch, dachte ich bei mir. Und plötzlich kam es soweit, als die zwei – woher sie so schnell kamen, wissen wir beide nicht – von Osten her auf uns zuhielten. Da schnappte ich Swede und floh mit ihr in die Sträucher.Da haben sie das ganze Flussufer zum Leben und wollen nicht einmal eine Stufe davon hergeben – diese garstigen Biester.🇬🇧 After we spent most of the time on the sundial, we went back to the stone steps, where we recently had an encounter with the swans, because we couldn't be frightened by feathered animals. That'll be the day. And suddenly it was that day when the two of them - we both don't know where they came from so quickly - headed for us from the east. 🇩🇪 Swede wollte heute noch einmal an das Wasser. Sie fand den Anblick des vielen Wassers so faszinierend, dass sie noch am Abend aufgeregt davon erzählte. Und als sie hörte, dass es in der Nacht regnete und der Fluss womöglich noch höher stünde, gab es kein Halten mehr.Und da waren wir, mit tausenden anderen, die nichts Besseres wussten, als in braunes Wasser zu blicken, wie’s talwärts wallte. Also sprangen wir auf die steinerne Sonnenuhr und machten’s ebenso. Wir beobachteten Hölzer und Äste und fragten uns, woher das Wasser kam und wohin es wollte und warum immer neues nachfloss.Wie es wohl wäre, auf einem großen Ast zu sitzen und auf dem Wasser zu reisen?🇬🇧 Swede wanted to visit the water again today. She found the sight of all the water so fascinating that she talked excitedly about it all the evening. And when she heard that it rained during the night and that the river might be even higher, there was no stopping anymore.And there we were, with thousands of others who knew nothing better than looking into brown water as it rushed down into the valley. So we jumped on the stone sundial and did the same. 🇩🇪 Heute habe ich mir einen Spaß erlaubt: Ich habe mich einfach auf das Geländer am Hafenbecken gesetzt, ließ Pfoten und Schwanz herabhängen und tat so, als sei das ganz natürlich. Das klingt beim ersten Hören gar nicht so besonders, denn auch Plüschgeparde müssen irgendwo sitzen und liegen, aber es gibt Menschen, die finden den Anblick eines herumstreunenden Plüschtiers noch immer so wunderbar, dass sie, sobald sie mich erblicken, alles andere um sich herum vergessen.Und so kommt es schon vor, dass sie abgelenkt sind und versehentlich in Pfützen treten oder vor Bänke prallen, in Papierkörbe hineinrennen, an Bäume stoßen oder mit anderen Staunenden zusammenrasseln. Das, wiederum, ist richtig lustig.🇬🇧 Today I had some fun: I just sat down on the railing by the harbor basin, let my paws and tail hang down and pretended it was jast natural. Yeah, that doesn't sound very special, because even plush cheetahs have to sit and lie somewhere, but there are people out there who still find the sight of a plushie straying so wonderous, as soon as they see me they forget everything else around them.And so it happens that they are distracted and accidentally step into puddles or crash into benches, run into waste baskets, bump into trees or rattle together with other astonished people.
