Hallo, ihr Lieben, vorhin kamen die Kinder herbei und meinten, ich müsse mal wieder etwas malen, und weil sie es sich so in den Kopf gesetzt hatten, sollte ich unbedingt irgendwas mit »Pink« machen. Freilich kann man darüber streiten, ob »Pink« überhaupt eine zugelassene Farbe ist, aber davon wollten die Kleinen nichts hören; die wollten etwas Pinkfarbenes auf dem Bild sehen. Sonntag ist Langes-Frühstück-Tag. Aber allein frühstücken ist nur wenig freudvoll, sodass wir beschlossen, alle essbaren Habseligkeiten zusammenzupacken und zu Grace in den Fooxwood Forest zu fahren.Was wir jedoch nicht wussten: Heute, weil Edward seinen pinkfarbenen Scooter ausfährt, veranstaltet Grace ein rosafarbenes Gelage mit tausendundeiner Leckerei. Dumm nur, dass wir nicht ein pinkfarbenes Ding mit uns führten. Schlimmer noch, alles bei uns ist ganz grün.Warum?Nun, ich bat Swede, beim Frühstückmachen zu helfen. Und als sie fragte, was sie zum Essen bereiten sollte, da sagte ich ihr, sie solle nehmen, was sie fand. Und wie ihr seht: Swede fand eine Gurke. 🤷Ich hoffe, die schmeckt euch dennoch. But having breakfast alone is not very enjoyable, so we decided to pack up all the edible belongings and drive to Grace in the Fooxwood Forest.What we didn't know: today, as Edward drives out his pink scooter, Grace is throwing a pink feast with a thousand and one goodies. Too bad we didn't have a pinkish thing with us. Even worse, everything of us is entirely green.Why, you ask?Well, I asked Swede to help preparing breakfast. Heute machten wir einen Familienausflug, wobei »Ausflug« zu viel des Begriffs ist. Es war nicht mehr als der Gang in den Garten, um auf der Terrasse zu chillen. Sagt man das so? Jedenfalls lagen Niara und ich in der Sonne, damit die Flecken wieder etwas an dunkler Färbung gewinnen – manche waren schon ganz blass vom Winter - und Mneka und Swede und Chee tollten umher, spielten Verstecken, zerstörten drei Blumenbeete und verlegten ihr destruktives Wirken bald auf’s Seilklettern. Sie wollten einfach mal zusammen abhängen, sagten sie.🇬🇧 Today we went on a family outing, though "outing" isn't the correct term. It was nothing more than going into the garden to chill out on the terrace. In any case, Niara and I were lying in the sun so that the spots would get a little darker again - some got already pale from winter - and Mneka and Swede and Chee romped around, played hide and seek, destroyed three flower beds and soon shifted their destructive work to rope climbing. 🇩🇪 Niara bringt gerade die Kleinen ins Bett – nun ist es Zeit, den Sonntagabend ausklingen zu lassen. Wenn sie wieder herunterkommt, rollen wir uns in eine Decke ein und schauen mal, ob ein schöner Film läuft. Und falls nicht, finden wir sicherlich eine andere Möglichkeit, den Abend zu verbringen.Euch allen einen schönen dritten Adventsabend.🇬🇧 Niara is just putting the little ones to bed - now it's time to end the Sunday evening.
