Ich könnte jetzt ein Hohelied auf Holz anstimmen, um den Bildern etwas mehr Bedeutung zu geben. Oder ich lege mich einfach auf die Holzstapel und genieße die Aussicht und die Sonne und den Wind und das Leben.

Nun kam Hektik auf. Kaum färbte sich die Sonne rot, kamen von allen Seiten der Düne Menschen daher und besetzten Strand und Körbe und Baumstämme. Zu unserem Glücke konnten wir noch rechtzeitig einen Strandkorb besetzen, um einen ungestörten Blick auf das Meer zu haben.🇬🇧Now it came to some sort of a melee. As soon as the sun turned red, people came along from all sides of the dunes and occupied the beach and baskets and tree trunks. Nach dem desaströsen Ritt auf dem Flamingo zeigte sich mal wieder ein riesiger Vorteil des Kleinseins – Swede trocknete sensationell schnell, und so konnten wir noch einen Spaziergang am Strand unternehmen, ehe die Sonne ins Meer fiel. Freilich ließ ich’s mir nicht nehmen, noch einmal über den Sinn und Unsinn von Waghalsigkeit im Kontext der Lebenserwartung zu schwadronieren und keine Pfote breit von meiner kleinen Maus zu weichen. Natürlich hasste sie die Bewachung, aber Strafe musste schließlich sein.🇬🇧After the disastrous ride on the flamingo, a huge advantage of being small showed up - Swede dried sensationally quickly, so we were able to go for a walk on the beach before the sun fell asleep into the sea. Of course I didn't miss the opportunity to lecture the sense and nonsense of daring in the context of life expectancy while not letting a paw size space between me and my lil mouse. Hallo, hier ist eure Swede. Ich hoffe, ihr erkennt mich noch – nicht viel fehlte und Paps hätte mich zur Schnecke gemacht. Und dabei kann ich doch gar nichts dafür. Na gut, eigentlich kann ich etwas dafür, denn schließlich war es meine Idee, mich in den Rucksack zu schleichen, und es war auch meine Idee, den Flamingo mitzunehmen, und es könnte auch sein, dass es meine Idee war, mit dem Flamingo auf dem offenen Meer zu schwimmen, allein, sodass es kam, wie es kommen musste. Aber wer kann schon ahnen, dass wie aus dem Nichts eine Welle kommen und den Flamingo umwerfen würde? Zum Glück wurde ich gleich aus dem Wasser gezogen und notdürftig getrocknet.Aber alles Trocknen konnte das Missgeschick nicht verbergen, sodass ich Paps mein Unglück gestehen musste. Natürlich ist der ausgerastet; ich hätte sterben können, sagte er. Zum Glück fielen ihm nach zehn Minuten keine maßregelnden Worte mehr ein, sodass er mich fest gedrückt hat. Denn am Ende ging ja alles noch einmal gut aus. Die Frage ist nur, ob er mich je wieder Flamingofahren lässt.🇬🇧Hello, this is your Swede. Well, after all it was my idea to sneak into the backpack and it was also my idea to take the flamingo with me and it might be true that it was my idea to ride the flamingo on the sea, all alone. But who could have known there would come a wave out of nowhere to knock the flamingo over? Luckily I was immediately pulled out of the water and dried in a makeshift manner.All drying couldn’t hide the mishap, so I had to confess my misfortune to Dad. Of course he freaked out; I could have died, he said. Fortunately, after ten minutes he couldn’t find of any more reprimanding words, so he hugged me tightly. Because in the end everything turned out well. Mama ist sooo ein Schlingel. Glaubt ihr nicht? Könnt ihr aber glauben, denn gerade als Paps vorausging, um uns einen Platz auf der Seebrücke klarzumachen – Dad erzählte euch jüngsthin davon –, da befahl uns Mama plötzlich Halt vor einem Schild, und unverzüglich sollten wir ihren Stift aus der Handtasche holen, denn da gäbe es eine Sache, die unbedingt getan werden müsse.Fügsam, wie wir Kinder nun einmal sind, holten wir den Stift hervor, und gleich darauf sollten wir auf Mamas Kopf klettern, bis wir hoch genug reichten, um einen Buchstaben jenes Schildes durch einen anderen auszutauschen. Ehe wir verstanden, was all das bedeutete, gewahrten die Strandbesucher den kleinen Streich längst: »Bitte füttern sie die Löwen nicht!«, stand da nun geschrieben.Haha, Mama ist sooo ein Schlingel. 🤭🇬🇧Mom is such a rascal. Because as Dad went ahead to find us a seat on the pier - he told you about that lil before - Mommy suddenly told us to stop in front of a sign and immediately we should get her pen out of her purse, as there was one thing she had to do!Obedient as children are, we got out the pen and in the same very moment we were supposed to climb up onto Mama’s head until we could reach high enough to exchange one letter of that sign for another. Before we understood what all this was about, the beach visitors already noticed the little prank: »Please don’t feed the lions!« was written now.Haha, mom is such a rascal. 🤭As an explanation: »Möwen« means »seagulls«, while »Löwen« means »lions« in German. Nun ist die Katze aus dem Sack – seit dem letzten Post ist klar: Wir hängen bzw. hingen mal wieder an der Ostsee ab, sehr zur Verwunderung der Strand- und Seebrückenbesucher dort, die nie zuvor im Sand spielende, Flamingos reitende, Muscheln suchende, Möwen jagende Plüschtiere sahen und entsprechend seltsam dreinblickten, stets verfangen im mimischen Wechsel zwischen Verwunderung und Verzückung. Alles wie immer also.🇬🇧Now the cat is out of the bag - since the last post it's obvious: We're hanging out at the Baltic Sea for another venture, much to the amazement of the beach and pier visitors there, who have never seen in the sand playing, flamingos riding, shells seeking, seagulls hunting plushies. Therefore they looked correspondingly strange, always caught in the mimic alternation between amazement and ecstasy. Heute klingelte es an der Türe – der Postmann brachte einen großen Umschlag. Oha! Endlich ist es da, dachte ich bei mir, und also rief die Kinder zusammen – meine zwei Wildfänge, Maras wilde Bande dazu – und hieß sie versammeln. Wir wollten einen kleinen Spaziergang haben und ein sonniges Plätzchen suchen.Bald schon erspähten wir gefällige Sitzbank, alle nahmen Platz. Nun war es an der Zeit, den Umschlag zu öffnen – das ging Swede an. Unsere designierte Paketöffnerin rupfte den Umschlag auf, bis die Fetzen flogen und kramte ein kleines Buch heraus. Es ist das neue Büchlein unseres Menschen (@gephleckt) aus seiner »Tierisch«-Reihe, taufrisch, brühwarm.Verliebt! – Die Streuner vom ScheunentorGing es im ersten Bändchen noch um Igelchen und Biber, soll es in diesem Werklein um vier Katzen gehen, um Liebe, um Sehnsucht, um Irrungen und Wirrungen, verpackt in ein dramatisches Stück in drei Akten. Wie das wohl ausgeht? Wir, jedenfalls, werden‘s bald erfahren.🇬🇧The doorbell rang - the postman brought a large envelope. Oh!Finally it’s here, I thought to myself. So I gathered the cubbies - my two wild ones, Mara’s wild pride too - we wanted to have a little walk and look for a sunny spot.Soon we spotted a pleasant bench, everyone took a seat. Now it was time to open the envelope – that was Swede’s business. Our designated package opener ripped off the envelope and dug out a small book. It’s the new little book of our human (@gephleckt) from his »Feral« series.In love! – The strays from the barn doorWhile the first volume was about hedgehogs and beavers, this little work is about four cats and about love, about longing, about trials and tribulations, packed into a dramatic piece in three acts.
