Heute spreche ich, Niara aus dem Hause der Weißkrallen, zu euch, denn mein Juba blieb zu Hause zurück. Was ihr womöglich nicht wisst: Mara und Talek hatten heute morgen einen wilden Streit mit Fauchen und Toben und Prügeln, wie man es bei Löwen eben hat. Es war nicht zu sagen, worum es ging, aber Juba wollte sich um Talek kümmern. Inzwischen bot ich an, Mara und ihre Kleinen auf eine Wanderung in den Wald mitzunehmen; wir wollten schauen, ob die Narzissen wieder blühten in dieser seltsamen Einhegung, welche Juba und ich im letzten Frühling fanden. Auf die Weise sollte beiden Dickschädeln die Möglichkeit gegeben werden, ihre Gemüter abzukühlen. Und wer weiß, vielleicht ließ sich sogar entdecken, weshalb die beiden stritten und ob etwas für sie getan werden konnte.
Aber vorher wollten wir uns die Narzissen ansehen. Sind die nicht allerliebst?

All hail to the sunwalkers.
Today it's me, Niara of the House of the Whiteclawes, speaking to you for my Juba remained at home. What you may not know: Mara and Talek had a wild argument this morning with hissing and raging and beatings, just like lions do. There was no telling what it was about, but Juba wanted to take care of Talek. Meanwhile, I offered to take Mara and her little ones for a hike in the woods; we wanted to see if the daffodils would bloom in that strange enclosure that Juba and I found last spring. That way, both stubborn souls should be given a chance to cool their tempers. And who knows, it might even be possible to discover why the two were fighting and if anything could be done for them.
But first we wanted to admire the daffodils. Aren't they adorable?
