Welch ein Jammer. Ein Katzenjammer. An einem solch schönen Tag sollte man meinen, niemand hätte Grund zum Jammer; doch da lag Thebo vor den Sonnenblumen und schluchzte jämmerlich. Niara eilte herbei, um zu erfragen, was sein Kummer war, und Thebo jammerte und gurkelte bloß tränenersäuft, war kaum zu verstehen. Aber das wenige, das Niara verstand, deutete wohl darauf hin, dass Thebo einst einen leckeren Yoghurt im Kühlschrank für einen besonderen Moment verwahrte. Und als er den Moment zum Essen gekommen sah, war der Yoghurt plötzlich weg. Das machte Thebo furchtbar traurig, so traurig, dass ihn Niara kaum zu trösten vermochte.

What a caterwaul. At such a beautiful day it's hard to believe, that someone would have cause for grief, but Thebo lay in front of the sunflowers and sobbed miserably. Niara rushed over to ask what his grief was, and Thebo just wailed and gurgled tearfully, almost inunderstandable. But the little that Niara understood probably indicated that Thebo once stored a delicious yoghurt in the fridge for a special moment to eat it. And when the moment came, the yoghurt was suddenly gone. This made Thebo terribly sad, so sad that Niara could hardly console him.
