Die Kinder waren längst im Bett und träumten von Abenteuern – wo der Tag für die Kinder endete, begann er für die Erwachsenen. Und so streunten Niara und ich durch die monderhellte Nacht, auf der Suche nach dem legendären Jellicle Ball. Wir liefen die halbe Nacht hindurch und fanden nichts als leere Gassen und verwaiste Plätze. Keine weiteren Katzenpaare. Keine extatischen Klänge. Keine tanzenden Katzen. Keinen Ball. Also saßen wir auf einem Baum und sangen das Lied der Gelüste nur für uns.

🇬🇧 The children had been in bed dreaming of adventures, and right where the day ended for the cubbies, it began for the adults. So Niara and I strolled through the moonlit night in search of the legendary Jellicle Ball. We walked half the night and found nothing but empty alleys and deserted places. No more couples of cats. No ecstatic sounds. No dancing cats. No ball. So we sat in a tree and sang the song of desires just for ourselves.
