Hallo, hier ist eure Swede, und ich muss euch was erzählen, das in seiner Unfasslichkeit kaum zu fassen ist: Mama hat etwas geklaut. Nein, ich meine nicht das Herz unseres Paps und auch nicht ein Stück Fleisch, wie man es als Raubkatze eben tut, nein sie klaute eine Gurke vom Wochenmarkt. Eine Gurke!
Könnt ihr das glauben? Wenn wir – Mneka und ich – es nicht mit eigenen Augen gesehen hätten, würden wir es für einen bösen Versuch halten, Mama zu diffamieren. Aber es passierte vor aller Augen, denn weil es neulich nicht so recht mit den Jagdlehren klappen wollte und wir statt zu pirschen nur herumtrotteten und plötzlich gar vor einer Menschenansammlung anlangten, da war Mama so frustriert, dass sie die Gelegenheit ergriff und eine Gurke vom einem der Ladentische schnappte; weg war sie – Mama und die Gurke.
Ehe wir es richtig begriffen, lagen wir schon im Gras. Mama sagte, sie brauche jetzt dringend Entspannung. Also entspannten wir.

Can you believe it? If we - Mneka and I - hadn't witnessed, we would think it was a wicked attempt to defame Mom. But it happened in front of everyone’s eyes. Because things weren't going so well with the hunting lessons the other day - instead of stalking we were just trotting around and suddenly stopped in front of a market - Mom was so frustrated that she took the opportunity and snapped a cucumber from one of the market's counters. Then she was gone - Mama and the cucumber.
Before we really understood what's happening here, we were already lying on the grass; Mom said she needed some relaxation now. And we relaxed.
