Da ist kein Herbst ohne Kastaniensammeln. Und da ist kein Kastanienmännchenbasteln ohne Kastanien. Zum Glück machte sich Swede auf den Weg und besorgte uns ein paar der wundervoll gemaserten Schönheiten.

Neulich erzählte ich von der vergänglichen Schönheit des Herbstes und kaum zwei Wochen später ist von dem einstigen Farbenspiel nicht viel mehr übrig als grauer Ernst – kalt, nass, nebelig. Allerdings hatten wir uns mächtig viel Mühe gegeben, den goldenen End-Oktober zu nutzen mit all dem Laub.Und selbst Niara, die sonst keine Gelegenheit auslässt, ihren bezaubernden königlichen Hochmut über alles auszugießen, das niedere Gemüter einen großen Spaß nennen, konnte sich der Anziehung eines riesigen Laubhaufens nicht verwehren. 🥰🇬🇧Recently I was talking about the ephemeral beauty of autumn and barely two weeks later there is not much left of the colorful splendor other than gray severity - cold, wet, foggy. O je, o je, das Laub wird immer dünner. Bald schon sind die Bäume so trostlos wie ein Elefantenfriedhof im Schattenland. Aber noch ist es nicht so weit. Erzählte ich eben noch von Laubhaufen im Schlosspark, musste ich nun feststelle, wie wenig Laub da tatsächlich zu finden war. Gewiss, da lagen herabgefallene Blätter, aber von ganzen Haufen konnte die Rede nicht sein. Heute waren meine Swede, meine Mneka, meine Niara und ich am Hafen und im angrenzenden Schlosspark. Normalerweise meiden wir solche Plätze, erst recht bei schönem Wetter, da man sich die Lokationen allzu oft mit tausenden Menschen teilen muss und selten ungestört ist. Doch heute war uns das egal, schließlich können wir nicht immer kampflos nachgeben. Natürlich ließ sich kaum ein Bild machen, ohne von neugierigen Hafenbesuchern nach dem Sinn unseres Treibens befragt zu werden – das gehört zum Leben eines Plüschies, das sich gern draußen herumtreibt. Ihr kennt das sicherlich.Trotzdem kamen eine Pfotevoll an ungestörten Bildern heraus. Den Anfang macht ein Bild mit meiner Niara vor einer der ikonischen Brücken.🇬🇧Today me and my Swede, my Mneka and my Niara were at the harbor and the nearby castle park. Usually we avoid such places, especially when the weather is nice, as we often have to share the location with thousands of people, beeing rarely undisturbed. But today we didn’t care, after all, we can’t always give in without a fight. Of course, we could hardly take a picture without being asked by curious visitors about the higher meaning of our activities - that’s part of the outdoor plushie life. Ein Stress ist das hier, ich sag’s euch. Wie jedes normale Kind lieben es auch meine Kleinen, im Herbstlaub zu spielen. Es gibt nur ein Problem: Hier in der Menschensiedlung leben scheinbar Leute, die das herrliche Durcheinander auf Straßen und Wiesen nicht ertragen können, sodass ca. dreimal am Tag ganze Horden von Wiesenpflegern mit ihren Metallbesen durch die Straßen und Wiesen ziehen und alles Laub zusammenkratzen. Das heißt, wer im Laub spielen will, muss einen Sturm abwarten und dann schnell sein.Und also hockten meine Kleinen ganze Tage am Fenster, um zu sehen, wann das Laub unterm Baume eine geeignete Menge angenommen hat. Und heute war es soweit. Wheee.🇬🇧Life is stressful over here, I tell you. Like any normal cub, my little ones love playing in the autumn leaves. There’s just one problem: Right here in the human settlement there are apparently people who can’t stand the wonderful mess on the streets and meadows, so three times a day whole hordes of meadow keepers stroll through the streets and meadows with their metal brooms and scrape up all the leaves. That means you have to be quick, if you want to play in the foliage.So my little ones sat at the window for days to see when the leaves under the tree had reached a suitable amount. And today is the day. Whoa, ich glaube, der Herbst ist da. Ihr kennt mich, normalerweise ist das kein Grund zur Freude, ist der Herbst doch nichts als der Überbringer schlechter Wetternachrichten. Vorbei die Sonne, vorbei die herrliche Hitze, vorbei die lauschigen Nächte. Stattdessen erwarten uns fünf Monate Dunkelheit und bittere Kälte und bald auch Schnee. Unausweichlich. Grausam.Aber so sehr ich den Sommer schon jetzt vermisse, ist der Herbst nicht nur schlecht. Nein, im Herbst gibt es diese zwei, drei Wochen, in denen sich die Bäume und Sträucher und Gräser und Pflanzen verwandeln. Was gestern noch grün, ist morgen schon rot und gelb, golden. Ich geb’s gern zu: Das ist wunderbar. Doch muss man schnell sein, all die Wunder zu sehen, ehe sie ebenso schnell im Grau des Herbsts vergehen.Drum wollen wir in dieser Woche den Herbst ein wenig feiern in all seinen Farben.
