Während unseres Ostseeurlaubs – es war gerade Mittagspäuschen – schnappte ich mir die Bleistifte und skizzierte ein wenig herum. Inmitten der höchsten Zeichenwonne kam Mneka herbei und hatte eine Bitte: Ich sollte ihr einen Geparden malen. Ein gewöhnliches Portrait sollte es sein, aber der skizzierte Gepard sollte auch hier und da Mulden und Wölbungen und Dellen haben. Sie wollte nicht verraten, wozu all das diente. Nein, sie wollte es so haben, und ich sollte es nach ihren Anweisungen machen. Und kolorieren sollte ich es freilich auch, stets gestreng nach den Weisungen der kleinen Maus.
Am Ende aller Bemühungen gab es einen Kuss, und fort war sie. Mit dem Bild.

During our vacation at the Baltic Sea - it was just a short lunch break - I grabbed the pencils and sketched a bit. In the midst of the supreme drawing bliss, Mneka came over and had a request: I should paint her a cheetah. It should be a random cheetah portrait. But the cheetah should also have hollows and bulges and dents every here and there. She didn't want to reveal what it was good for. No, that's the way she wanted it, and she wanted me to do it according to her instructions. And of course I should color it at last, always strictly following the instructions of the little mouse.
At the end of all efforts I eaned a kiss and then she was gone. With the drawing.
