Heute, am Tag des heiligen Kürbisses, werden wieder die prächtigsten Laternen geschnitzt und später ausgestellt. Doch ehe sie ausgestellt werden können, müssen sie angebaut werden. Manch einem gelingt das gut, manch anderem nicht. 😋

After all that flowery beauty and foliage fun the last days, we are heading for something different. As we - me and my humie - didn’t took part in a #dtiys challenge lately, it was time to do so. Happily, @appletater.art made up a great challenge as we should draw “Kopa“, “Kiara“ and “Kion“ - Nala’s and Simba’s (adult) cubbies - standing on top of the Pride Rock, like all lionish pride landers do once in a while. #appletater5k
However, since Appletater mentioned the personal headcanon, this brought us right into another scenery. Instead of having lions up there, “Azali” - our fictive daughter of the pawsome Fuli and Azaad – was begging her parents to somehow take her on the Pride Rock. She reaaally wanted to stand up there like the lions do. So the little family waited for the lions go for a hunt to occupy the Pride Rock for some minutes. While Azali was amazed by the view from above, Fuli and Azaad were kinda worried. They watched out for any lions to come back too soon.
Well, my humie liked the simple sketch but isn’t really sure about that over dramatic sky on the right, while the sunny skies came out pretty nice. The colouring of the cheetahs could have done in a less rough and messy but more soft way, same like the outlines, which should be a bit softer and lighter. But there is no undo button in watercolors. It is, what it is, and every artist has to deal with it.
Even though there are cheetahs up there, we hope you like it anyways. Congrats to the awesome 5k and huge big up for the fun challenge. We love your art beary much.

Kaum bekam ich meinen Account für genau ein Post zurück, muss ich ihn heute an Niara abgeben – allerdings aus gutem Grund. Denn wie wir jüngst und lässig um den großen kleinen Hafen herumschlichen, kamen wir auch an jenem Strauch vorbei, der im Herbst die schönsten Blausterne trägt, jene Blumen, die Niara sonst so gern im Haar trägt. Und dieser Strauch stand in voller Blüte. Also ließen wir noch einige Passanten passieren, ehe wir freie Sicht au die Blumen und Niara Platz zum Posieren hatte. Doch weil der Herr mit dem Pfotoapparat immer ganze Tage braucht, ehe er mal die Bilder zum Posten präpariert, können wir sie euch erst heute zeigen. Nur so viel: Sie sind umwerfend.

I barely got my account back for just one post, today I had to hand it over to Niara - but for good reason. As we were strolling around the big small harbor recently, we also passed the shrub that bears the most beautiful flowers in the fall, those flowers Niara usually likes to wear in her hair. And this bush was in full bloom. So we let a bunch of passers pass before we had a clear view of the flowers and Niara had room to pose. However, as the man behind the camera takes whole days before he prepares the photos for posting, we can show them today. Just this much: These are stunning.
