Nach einer Weile des Aufwärmens und Beruhigens – wir mussten nicht verhungern, nicht erfrieren und sind auch nicht mehr gestrandet - gingen wir noch einmal an den Strand; schließlich sollte sich der Besuch auch lohnen, erst recht vor dem Hintergrund jenes Donnerwetters, das uns bevorstand, sobald wir erst wieder zurück nach Hause kämen.
Aber so weit sollten die Gedanken nicht schweifen – erst einmal wollten wir alle runter ans Wasser und die Sonne genießen, Muscheln suchen, herumknutschen. Was man eben an einem Strand tut.

After a while of warming up and calming down - we didn't have to starve, didn't freeze to death and aren't stranded anymore - we went to the beach again. After all, the visit should also be worthwhile, especially against the background of the bollocking that was in store for us as soon as we got back home.
But we shouldn't let our thoughts wander that far - first of all we all wanted to go down to the water and enjoy the sun, look for shells, smooch and nuzzle. Just what you usually do on a beach.
