Zwischen dem Herbsttreiben muss auch Zeit für die Kunst bleiben. Zum Zwecke der Künstlerei nahm ich Pinsel und Farben und etwas Wasser, und dann malte ich. Das Motiv war schnell gefunden: Anstatt stets nur Prominenz bekannter Animationsfilme abzubilden, sollten dieses Mal »Jua vom Dornenhain, Tochter der Mzaa« und »Pumuzi vom roten Gabelbaum, Sohn der Koo« im bildlichen Mittelpunkt stehen, ebenjene zwei Fleckentiere, die den meisten Platz im Roman »@Gephleckt« einnehmen.
Da die beiden Ferals sind, sollten sie auch authentisch in der Savanne hocken, umgeben von nichts als Gras und den drei Steinen auf Pumuzis Anhöhe, was auch immer eine Anhöhe in der Ebene der Savanne bedeuten mag. Und da sind sie nun.

There has to be time for some art between the colourful autumn madness. For the sake of art, I took a brushes and paints and some water, and then I painted. The subject of the drawing was found quickly: instead of depicting celebrities from well-known animated movies, this time the focus should be on »Jua of the Thorn Grove, Daughter of Mzaa« and »Pumuzi of the Red Forked Tree, Son of the Koo«, the very two spotted animals that take up most of the space in the novel »@Gephleckt«.
Since the two are ferals, they should be sitting authentically in the savannah, surrounded by nothing but grass and the three stones on Pumuzi’s hill, whatever a hill in the great plains means. And here they are.
